The 9-year-old boy who took a gun to school in Bremerton, WA back in February has written a letter of apology to his classmate, Amina Kocer-Bowman. She just came home from the hospital yesterday after 41 days in the hospital and five sugeries. Amina still has a feeding tube in her stomach and a .45-caliber bullet permanently lodged next to her spine. She still has a long road to full recovery, and will not be the same. The unnamed 9 year boy who shot her, will also never be the same. This is one incident that was 100% preventable, not by a congressional action – but simply by a mom paying attention to both her child AND to her gun. Read the apology letter for yourself.
