Didn’t anyone tell the criminals in Chicago that they are breaking more laws than ever?  They have some of the strictest gun laws in the country, and even more laws passed since December, so why do the criminals keep shooting?

Screen Shot 2013-07-07 at 11.49.51 PMThe Windy City reached a grim milestone over the long Fourth of July weekend as the city’s homicide rate surpassed 200.  The city logged its 200th homicide of the year on Saturday when a 24-year-old man was shot to death in the 1000 block of West Maxwell Street on the Near West Side, according to RedEye Chicago.  On Saturday alone, at least seven people were injured in a single drive-by shooting that left a 48-year-old man dead. The Sun-Times reports police believe the 6 p.m. shooting in Lawndale was gang-related and connected to an earlier attack on July.  Read more Here for details.

My heart goes out to all the victims and families affected by the decisions these criminals made over the past weekend and throughout the year.

  1. Maybe the need some new gun laws. I’d suggest:
1.) Allow any citizen who passes the back ground and training to have a CCW permit.
2.) Allow all honest citizens who want to purchase guns and ammo (if they can find it) for home and business defense.
3.) When any criminal dirtbag is arrested for using a gun, or has a gun, chop off their hands.

  2. But, but, the criminals are getting their weapons from other states! (seriously, that’s what gun control folks are saying). Nevermind that gun violence was less of a problem before Chicago decided to go apes*** and become a virtual gun-free zone…
