To support the American Legion, I am helping cook the annual cauldron of Turtle Soup. This recipe is a secret – only Bill and his family know the actual secret ingredients. I saw Mrs. Marilyn sewing pickling spices into cloth pouches. I helped pull meat from bones. I watched all kinds of vegetables go into the pot. We are cooking it all night. That is all the intel this Cryppie Officer was able to gather. Or at least, that is all I am willing to share. If you are near an American Legion in Southern Indiana – and hear they are selling turtle soup, come by and buy a bowl! It is gonna be yummy!
